[identity profile] kittycatalina.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
Well, it was brought to my attention this morning that someone is selling my work as their own. It is a tutorial I posted online, complete with the photos I took. Apparently this person is selling a how to CD on ebay containing multiple articles they found online and used without permission. It's just a little how to article, but I'm pretty upset about it. I have not seen it myself, but apparently it's just a cut n paste. I did put in the article, copyright me, do not use without permission yada yada yada, but my name and other info were conveniently left off. I have contacted ebay, and emailed the seller themselves (hey, what kind of percentage of sales do I get for you using my work?), but I'm not sure what else I can do. They are in the UK and I am in the US.
So my question is, have any of you dealt with this type of thing, and how do you handle it? Also, since this is a community with lots of sharing of ideas and tips, how can we protect ourselves?
Thanks for listening guys.
