thrifted plates..madeover!
Jan. 9th, 2009 06:10 pmI was inspired by a post on craftser where the OP drew on thrifted teacups with a ceramic paint pen from Micheals. So yesterday I bought one ($4) and a few plates from a second hand shop (50 cents each) and I went through my sketch books for some simple drawings.... this project was so easy and satisfying and FUn.. I may make one hundred more.

The pen is simple to use and the tip is pretty fine concidering. You let the piece dry for 24 hours and bake it in your home oven... ! So simple! It says its dishwasher safe... but i dont know if its food safe.. i think i'll go ahead and risk it!
