Doggy Coats
Feb. 2nd, 2009 12:27 pmOne of the ladies at work was telling us how every time it snows her husband has to go out and shovel paths in the back yard so their little dog could go outside. She said she only had two coats for the dog (Daisy) and when there was a lot of snow the coats weren't drying quickly enough. Since she is such an awesome person and always helps out others when she can I decided to try my hand at dog coats. The first one is from a pattern and the second one is based off of it, but a different stitch.
Anyhow here they are:
The first one is pretty much a granny square attached to a smaller granny square with a collar around the neck.

My feeble attempt at personalizing it XD

I'm sure it looks better on the dog than on my hand lol

Second on, this one is bigger and is more of a coat than a sweater.

Daisy sporting her spiffy new coat

She kept licking my hands, her way of saying thank you I guess

When Bev (her mama) asked if she wanted to take the coat off she shook her head no.

Close up of the stitch. It's a sc pattern.
