With deeli-bobs!
Whipped up yesterday afternoon to wear to the upcoming Opus Festival.

I originally got the main watch part when I was getting ready to travel, figuring my phone would be off and it's good to know what time it is when bouncing around between planes.

Twas a cheapie OP surfer barbie knockoff with glaring pink with a hibiscus flower motif on the face and a black velcro band.
I ended up forgetting it at home when I went on my trip.

Anyway, a year later I found it knocking around with my half done, and needs to be parted pile o stuff.
So I took it apart and first off removed that pink off the face. I tried sanding it first but the raised numbers threatened to come off.
I was delighted to find nailpolish remover did the trick for the rest.

Unfortunately that colored the scratches left by the sandpaper.
So I quick coated the face in black polish, and wiped that off to give it that 'I've been working in a coalmine' look.
I like it. And it made the numbers stand out.
I also applied some matte red devil to the outer edge of the face as it was all bare aluminum. Again, this way the numbers stood out.

It then sat for a couple more months until I could get a battery for it.
And voila!

It's a thick weight soft finish leather I bought scraps of a long long time ago and am still going through.
Topped with a thin weight upholstery grade strap, riveted on with gold tone rivets.
The sides got nickle 3/16 eyelets down the sides.

Gold tone snaps to keep it closed.

At first I was going to put a small luggage lock onto the red strap, but realized that would stretch the leather over time.
But wait, I've got all those metal lined holes on the sides!
I never was able to open that lock to put it on (which is why it's in my misc stuff to turn into stuff pile. As it has no other use other than as decoration) but I put some other bits on there instead.
Including another small lock key which I have about 4 other duplicates of.

And introducing the birthday gift that makes my leather working oh so much easier these days....

Ain't she a beaut?
