I meant to put these up a long time ago, but I've been on cold medicine for awhile which makes me too stupid to work the interwebz. XD But I was thrift-store hopping a couple of weekends ago and I made some skirts!

So...

Before:

This first picture is actually a green shirt. You can't tell because of my camera's random oddness, but it was actually a light, summery green. Anyway, I took these three shirts and with my magical powers made this...

Ignore the crazy college kid, unmade bed, Jack Sparrow action figure and rabbit cage in the background and instead fix your attention on this lovely monstrosity. The green panels are from the first shirt, so you can kinda tell how much greener it was than it looks and the yellow belly-band was from the polo shirt (Mens XL so I have bunches left over). It comes stops about two inches above my knee and looks very summery... and wrinkled. But it's been laying around the craft room so that's not entirely my fault. XD

I have no before pictures of the next one, but it used to be a pair of light blue ugly shorts and some pajama pants that were way too see-through.

It looks kinda weird in this picture because it's not actually on straight and that screws with the pleats. ^.^; There should be a yellow stripe right down the middle rather than two to either side, but you get the idea. I solved the see-through yellow problem by making them each little inside-out unstuffed pillows (you can tell how technical I am) and sticking them on the blue bits. It looks nicer in person, but my camera fails at pictures lately.

And I have one more dress to share. This one I made from actual fabric rather than old clothes. It's a square skirt (I think that's what they're called) with two layers and a stretchy brown belly band. It was supposed to be a circle skirt when I bought the fabric for it, but I didn't buy enough so it turned into this instead. I think I like it better anyway. I only wish I had more of the brown fabric, but it was a remnant so I have maybe six inches left over. Ah well.

Ignore my tummy. It was either look at my belly or a really hideous, been-through-a-world-war-or-six Pirates of the Caribbean shirt. XD I opted for the belly as I don't have a shirt that matches this skirt yet. XD
