it snowed today, so i crafted.
Mar. 28th, 2009 06:43 pmi bought a $5 clock at Target and decided i might try to alter it . . . trying to add a cool homemade touch to my office at work. Here is how I did it, step by step:
i removed the clear plastic front and the hands:

i took the plastic front, and traced around it on a piece of colorful scrap paper:

then i used an Xacto to cut out the circle:

then i used a tool for making holes and my exacto to cut out the spot where the clock mechanism fits through the paper:

then i reassembled it, popped in a battery and stand back and watch time fly:

that killed about 45 minutes.
