Watercolor tin and clay beads
Apr. 10th, 2009 10:17 am1st: mini watercolor paint holder one based on an instructable:

Gift card tin from Christmas...

Lined bottom and sides with sparkly white Fimo clay (available at most craft stores http://caleb-angie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/fimo-clay.jpg)

Rolled Fimo and made sections

Smoothed it out with what I had, an eraser (my nails were too long to just use my fingers)

Smoothed out and ready for the oven! (follow instructions on back of Fimo)

Sprayed lid with white enamel spray (outside!!). Spray one coat, next day spray the second coat.

Borrowed boyfriend's paints. Put a little paint in each section and added water. Mixed well and let dry overnight. Use the lid for mixing paints! Washes off easily

Final product, love it!

Used some more Fimo to make clay charms/beads.

Woo!
Thanks for looking! Hopefully once the summer gets here I can actually make enough crafts to sell, but right now I'm still experimenting.
