craftgrrl | Epic Leg Warmers

Thanks to everyone that posted in response to my leg warmer query! I started today... I think that I am almost done with them, but wish that the staple was a little longer on the fabric. Anyway, here they are so far! I ended up cutting a bell shape out of the white material and sewing that onto 3-inch wide elastic. Then, I sewed up the seam (in the back) and hand sewed mirabu boa halves on the top for the pink and purple. I am planning on either replacing the colors or adding to them... I left the ends long in the back, but I will probably cur them once I've figured the whole thing out. The bottom edge needs help. (Any suggestions on how to improve will gladly be considered!)

See, I think that the bottom edge needs a little love. They aren't as ravetastic as I had planed... Maybe another round of color bands? Something fluffier? Hmm... well, I've got until June 6th to figure it out.

Now what about the rest of the outfit?
