So I just came off a major sewing binge.
A lot of it was stuff for my Etsy, which I can't show you. But I CAN show you the presents I made for my family. :)
My boyfriend is a 4th dan in TaeKwonDo, and our school also does hapkido. He finally wore out one of his shirts and gave me permission to modify it (there was waffling, even though I promised him the outcome would be awesome).
I made him a pillow:

That was originally the back of the shirt. The back of the pillow is all solid, and I sewed on the little patch with our school's logo.
I even over stuffed it a little bit so that it could become the Holy Pillow of Rightous Battle during any impromptu pillow fights.
I think it's a success...I've come home multiple nights and he's had it snuggled under one arm, snoozing away.
His daughter has a birthday coming up soon, so I made her a little something...

Alexander Henry print for the outside, and the inside is lined with recycled T-shirt (still working on learning how to work with that stuff). I'm pretty sure she's not on craftgrrl, so I think she'll still be surprised.
And because I had a long scrap of canvas left over from a long time ago, I made myself a belt:

I'm not overly thrilled with it, but it does its job ok. I think eventually I'll go buy myself some webbing and make a better one - I still have two D-rings left...
Now that I've burnt myself out on sewing for now, I've stashed the machine away and picked up the yarn again...hopefully it will become a sweater...
