OK, so I just waded through the FAQ section a bit and while I *did* find some helpful tidbits on iron on transfers, I couldn't find the answer to my original question...

Basically I'm in my first attempt in the whole iron on world and I've already hit a snag in the printing phase! I'm using transfer paper especially for dark fabric (which every one seems to love) and while it's printing, my printer has this annoying tendency to scrape/rub the part it's just printed. Big black smears across my images where not exactly what I had in mind. So I tried it again, holding the edges down during print so it couldn't do that. In a way it worked and in a way it didn't. It was perfect for about the first 1/2 of the page (which was nice since I'm printing 2 images per page, so at least one is perfect) but when it got to the last 1/2 the only way I could guide it was by actually touching the semi wet top of the paper...I think it'll work out OK *this* time because when it was all done, I ended up with a pretty cool looking hand print over the image of a face. (Extra cool for this image because it's a face with the words "I am not a brave girl" one the top/bottom of it. See, fitting!) Anyway, I'm getting long winded-but my question is-has any one else had this problem? How did you fix it? Maybe it's the paper I used? (It's super thin paper and my printer doesn't have a velum setting) I'm going out of town tomorrow morning and was hoping to wear some of these new shirts while I was away. If you could, please give me some guidance today :) But if it's past "deadline" I still want to read about it when I come back!

THANKS!
Brooke

Oh, and if I was just blind and some one did actually go through this in the FAQs, feel free to guide me there and delete this post...
