hello. : )
Apr. 27th, 2003 01:05 ami'm new - this is my first post here. i was hoping to find someone who might be able to help me on a current project.

this is a collage i pieced together in the thinking that i could try my hand at designing book covers. it's very sloppy - but i'm trying different things out. the cover would be intended for an anthology of teen poetry; that's the subject matter.
the bits and pieces surrounding the face are all pieces of snapshots in a bedroom. going in clockwise order, starting at the top: a)a small black iron birdcage hanging from the ceiling; b) a wall corner; c) lamplight shining onto curtains; d) feet on a bed; and e) clothes lying in piles on a floor.
i have very little hope for this collage, anyway. i need conformation, though. i always need some level of conformation. is there anything in this that would make it seem visually attractive, as in a book cover? (the cover wouldn't be entirely composed of the collage, there would be some portion of white surface, or another photograph, something to lighten it up a bit, but i haven't gotten that far).
if anyone has any thoughts, comments, critiques, ideas...i'd love to hear them. thanks.
