Sun Craft For Kids Ideas?
Jun. 17th, 2009 08:13 pmMy friend and I are in charge is organizing a summer solstice craft activity for a group of kids this weekend, and I'm wondering if any of you have any ideas? We'll have about an hour for this craft, and the kids are ages 7 - 11. I'm hoping to avoid the paper plate sun. I was thinking a suncatcher might be nice, but what's a good one to make in an hour for this age group? I'd love to hear your ideas!
And so this post includes a pretty picture of a craft, here is my latest tree of life (amethyst, peridot, tourmaline, and rose quartz):

Thanks! :)
[EDIT: Thank you so much for the ideas, everyone! My friend and I decided to make suncatchers out of pipe cleaners and beads with the kids. If they turn out nice, I'll post pics here. Thanks again! :)]
