Hi everyone, I just found this community and thought it was awesome.
I've loved crafting for as long as I can remember. When I was little my mom had boxes of arts and crafts stuff and I would just stare at it all in a pile til I decided what I wanted to make. I don't have a specific field I work in....I know how to crochet (but not from patterns sadly since I taught myself), paint, basic bag/shirt making with buttorns/iron ons, etc... I'm probably not the most skilled at any of them, but I tend to dabble in a lot of different fields and just have fun making things. Although I'm looking forward to this community to help me fine tune some of my crafting techniques and projects for sure.
It came completely unfinished obviously. I used basic Acrylic paint to do the house. I made the small wreaths out of twigs from my patio and then tied them together with thin jewelry wire and painted them silver with metalic acrylic paint. I then hot glued on small Halloween buttons (a ghost and a spider) on each one to look more like a holiday wreath.
I painted the wooden tree on the side and then used neon orange glitter on the top half.

I really want some Jack-o-lanterns on the front porch and maybe some spooky looking Halloween signs but the tiny wreaths were my first attempt at making miniatures so I'm not sure what to use. I've been googling images all morning but it looks like most miniatures are store bought and I'd rather make it myself ( because of cost and because I enjoy it).
Anyone ever done something similar? Any thoughts on the birdhouse so far?
