A gift for an LJ friend:





A tote bag made using her favourite colours! Here's the front:

I made the bag "reversible" so that, depending on her mood, she could show a bright and sunny side, or a dark, "sophisticated" side. (lol) As you can see, I coordinated the straps depending on whether she is using the front or the back. From the sides, the bag looks like this:



And I also included a little hand made card:



She's now received her gift so I can post about it. It was really fun making the tote bag, especially since I'd never made on before and was making up the pattern as I went. Now I have tote bag mania, and am making a picnic quilt and matching tote bag picnic "basket" for my sister-in-law.
