Polyvinyl tubing conundrum.

craftgrrlI decided I was going to make hula hoops today. Went down to the Home Depot but all they had available was low psi half inch tubing and something a little sturdier called "Funny Pipe." I got the Funny Pipe because it looked preferable to the half inch tubing... alas, it didn't work very well at all. Aaand since I cut into it I can't return it.
My fiance suggested I save it for when we have a garden, but given our salaries and the cost of our impending wedding and the cost of living in Southern California, that may not happen for years, if at all.
What would you do with 40' of black, 120psi polyvinyl tubing?
