I finally finished my 50s inspired cherry dress! It took a while because I ended up having to hand dye the fabric myself, all the fabric stores had cherries on anything else but yellow, so I bought cherries on white and used a hot water dye. Hot water dying 3m of fabric turned out to be a bit of a work out, because the fabric ends up weighing several kg, plus the tub is steaming hot, and you have to hand agitate it (sort of like constantly kneading it) for 45min. phew!. But now its done! (except when doing the hem I discovered that I'm going to have to take it in quite a bit, which means re-doing the zipper!) Anyway, here are the photos!
