A Good Way to organize hair ties?-UPDATED

I have an insane amount of hair ties.
I have an issue with them having to match my outfits.

I'm looking for a way to sort them
I have them sorted by color
in 15 different piles scattered on a bookcase in my apartment.

I was thinking about getting some 2-3" metal binding rings
like these



but I'm thinking I have too many to even put on the rings...




I found 3" binder rings at office depot (I got 20 for $9)
and put them all on according to color!

Any suggestions would be WONDERFUL
