help with papercrafts

Hello, total first post! I'm Farren and I like making stuff, right now really into handbound books.

I'm making these cute little notebooks and I've found these awesome index cards to be the front cover - but they are a little bit flimsy and I want to find a way to make them hardier without taking away the awesome picture on the front or the cool description on the back.

A friend suggested laminating, but I'm not into the look of that. Is there anything else I can do that will still look neat and tidy? I'm totally at a loss.
