Heart buttons!!

I'm so in love with them!
I'm pretty new to the sewing game. I had a sewing machine in high school but was never able to produce anything of substance (besides the wicked sweet Star Wars purse I made Freshman year). I just bought a Singer Simple machine for under 80 bucks a couple weeks ago, and I've been hoarding fabric but didn't make anything that I could actually use... UNTIL NOW!
It's a modified McCall's pattern (M5714). It's kind of a Frankenstein jacket, because I just stuck together all the different styles together (view A collar, view F sleeves, C body), added that little dohickey in the back, and extended the front bodice peices a bit until they overlapped enough for two rows of buttons. I found the fleece on sale for 4 bucks a yard, and this took less than 2 yards to make, so all together, including the buttons and thread, I have a super cute jacket for less than 15 bucks!
I also made view C from the same pattern, before this one.

The arms are a little too tight, though.
The pattern is really simple and it's very quick to sew (unless you can't figure out how to sew on sleeves and have to rip out the seams at least 3 times before getting it right).
