Okay, so I have been so neglectful of my crafting recently, but I thought I might share some of my recent projects in case anyone needs present ideas. =D

Oh, yes and Merry Christmas to all you wonderful, crafty, imaginative people out there!

Rudolph toy:

My favourite part of him... =D

His itty-bitty butt and fluffy tail...

Rudolph's red nose, actually a craft pompom.

I could probably come up with something better if I tweak the design, but not bad for the two hours it took me to complete!

Basic instructions:

Trace out a gingerbread man shape onto two pieces of fleece, four leaf shapes (two on red fleece, two on brown), four antler shapes on red fleece, two small white dots for eyes, two smaller leaf shapes, one brown, one white and one large red pompom is also needed.

Sew antlers together inside out, leaving bottom seams open for turning. Turn and stuff as close to the bottom as possible (use the back of a pen to get the stuffing in tightly).

Sew one brown and one red leaf piece together leaving bottoms open for turning. Turn them and fold in half (lengthways) with red in the inside. Sew the ears at the bottom so they look creased.

Sew white spots onto the face with safety eyes poking through. Affix safety eyes with their backs.

Start sewing the head together, making sure to add the first ear, then both antlers, then the last ear (make sure each piece is facing the same way and if you sew through some of the stuffing in the antlers they will stand up better). Antlers and ears should be facing downwards into the plush as you sew. Once you turn the plush the right way out, they will stand up.

Sew as much as you can, stuff the body (so it's squishy, but not hard like the antlers) and then sew up the last seam.

Put the white leaf shape on top of the brown leaf shape and fold lengthwise with the white on the inside. Sew the bottom together and then attach to Rudolph's bottom.

Add the pompom nose (I sewed, but you can use strong fabric glue) and embroider the happy smile. Try to sew a few times over each stitch so it stays visible in the fleece.

Lastly cut a length of red fleece enough to go around the neck and have extra length. Fringe each edge and wrap around, using a complimentary button as the fixing point.

And there you have an easy Rudolph!

Pokemon felt badges:

Turtwig.

Chimchar.

Piplup.

I made them by tracing the appropriate pictures and then I cut out the pieces of paper, traced them onto the appropriate coloured felt and sewed them onto a disc of felt like a jigsaw puzzle (eyes on top). Then I sewed another disc on using blanket stitch so the back was neat. Then I sewed on a safe badge pin. They are easy to do!

P.S. Sorry if you see these elsewhere, I crosspost a bit, and people need lots of ideas during Christmas-time!

I also made a cardboard Christmas Tree-shaped advent calendar, but I am way too late to post that. It is here if anyone needs ideas for next year. =D
