And I'm DONE!
Dec. 14th, 2009 06:28 pmUsually I burn myself out over the holidays because I pick something and then do it fifty bajillion times, so that by the time I get to the last person's gift, I want to burn the whole lot and send it to the 9th level of hell. Last year I didn't do that and this year I chose a craft that wouldn't make me sob, gnash my teeth and curse the fact I didn't become a hermit years ago.
My aunt bought me one of those one a day calendars and it was all origami. So I decided to do framed origami projects for all my friends. I didn't photograph one of them because the girl came to live with me and I had to have it wrapped before she came. Oh well. Be warned, several pictures behind the cut!
Wolves for my "son" Brett:

Penguins for my "daughter-in-law" Morgan:

Flowers for my friend Megan:

Left: White coats for my friend Lauren, who is on her surgical round for med school
Right: Whales for my sea loving friend Maggie:

And two pictures from gifts I made last year. This was before I assembled them, but they are fleece "quilts" for my mom (Spongebob) and dad (Notre Dame):
