New curtains for my bedroom
May. 7th, 2002 11:54 pmSo, this is the current project that I'm working on now. Originally, I had planned on sewing plain curtains and attaching these to the section that the rod goes through. However, because the material was so darn slippery, it looked so bad after I had sewn it. I tried it out and just didn't like how it looked.
I took the remaining material and hung it onto the rod w/ safety pins. The edges are unfinished, but I don't mind the look. Then I took each of the dangly washer/safety pins combo thing and attached them to one of the safety pins that is hanging the curtain on the rod.
I ran out of safety pins, so I can continue as soon as I pick up more on Thursday. You get the idea though, they will span all the way across. Eric (my best friend) suggested that I put some weight on the bottom of the curtain, so I might pin some of the bigger washers on the bottom as a border of some sort.
