Baby's Blocks
Dec. 23rd, 2009 03:34 pmI started these last night and finished them today. They took less than 2 hours from start to finish. Very easy. I was inspired by http://www.make-your-own-baby-stuff.com/baby-blocks.html, but honestly did my own thing. They are 6 x 6.

Here are photos from nearly each step, if you are interested:
My pattern on 6 layers of fabric:

Pinned and cut out:

Pinned for stitching:

I stitched (with a sewing machine, though these could easily be done by hand) and fussed with them, left a small opening on one side, turned them right side out, stuffed them through the small opening, and hand stitched the opening closed. And there you go. My 2 year old loves them... and now I'm thinking it would be fun to make a set of 26 one for each letter of the alphabet with applique letters on each. It might be cool to make a number set too.
