Happy post-holidays!
Dec. 30th, 2009 07:26 amI made a tree skirt and matching t.v. cover for our basement bar. :)

sonnetofthemoon had made a gorgeous tree skirt based on a tutorial by Crazy Mom Quilts (I believe) and I was originally going to make something similiar, but then my personality took over and I made something of my own design. (Some day I'm going to make something following someone else's pattern. I really will!)
I made this out of white linen, gold crushed velvet, quilter's cotton and silk dupioni scraps from my wedding dress - and quilted it all with gold metallic embroidery thread.
Because it lives across from the tree, I had to make a matching cover for our keyboard.

In the last few days I made two queen sized quilts (it's been a quilting marthaon in my house that started on boxing day) but I'll show those in another post.
Hope you all had a great holiday - looking forward to the new year! :)
