Mock Cabled Wristwarmers
Jan. 18th, 2010 03:06 amIt's difficult to see in the photo, but they have thumb holes in the sides. A Christmas gift for one of my roommates (which I'm only posting now because we just got back from winter break last week and waited until today to have dinner together and exchange gifts).

I can't exactly remember where I found the basic pattern, but I think it might have been this one. At any rate, I modified it significantly - cast on slightly fewer stitches, added mock cable in the hand/palm section, and asymmetric stripes and grosgrain bows in the wrists. I used the leftover yarn (a worsted wool variety of an unknown brand . . . ) from one of my grandmother's previous projects.
