Jan. 18th, 2010 06:10 pmI did my first sewing machine project yesterday! I made a purse from goodies found at the thrift store.



The pink was a bag I found. The zebra print was a kids' hoodie, the "It's time to get hardcore." was from a t-shirt, and the strap is a skinny necktie. All for <$3 at the local thrift store. :D
While the bag is quite imperfect (though in my defense, a lot of what looks like loose pink thread is the leftover frayed edges of the pink lining material), I'm incredibly proud of it. I've not touched a sewing machine since 8th grade home ec. class, when my crabby teacher reminded me how incapable I was as a homemaker. =P
