So, every year I try to make my gifts. This year was the self dubbed year of the scarf. As I was teaching myself to knit, I decided to knit everyone scarves. I got one done... and pulled out my sewing machine, hah.

So, these are the three shown in the picture. They're made from fat quarters and lined in flannel.

The first one was for my aunt, and is lined in a sky blue

Next is the one I made for my cousin. Hers is lined in purple

And, my other cousins. His is lined in a dark green.

The photos are pre ironing, heh. They were quick and easy to make, and what no one knows, my little secret is that they're all serged on the inside in hot pink thread, mainly because I couldn't be bothered to swap out the thread.

This is the biggie, that took me forever and a day to make, mainly because aside from a teeny tiny headband, this was my first knitted project. It is so soft and very warm, and it was very hard to give it up, but it was my grandma's present. I can see every little flaw in it, especially where it fell off the needles and I had to pretend it was intentional, but I'm so happy with it.

It looked cleaner after I soaked it down with water and pulled and stretched and prodded it into the proper shape, also gained a few inches in length.

And finally, an apron a co-worker wanted me to make for her. Entirely freehanded. The middle pocket in the top was made extra deep to hold a spoon or something. She wore it for Thanksgiving dinner and apparenly her mother loved it so much she wouldn't let her take it off when it was time to eat! (Photo posted with permission, as that's not me in it) She gave me a basic guideline as to what she wanted and let me have at it.
