Two New Necklaces
Jan. 20th, 2010 02:53 pmI'd kind of been in a rut with making jewelry lately. Finally I got my butt in the craft room and came up with a few things that have given me the motivation to be more productive. I really like the way these came out...

I had some sheets of printer shrink plastic laying around so I browsed my photos for ideas and came across this cute 60's magical girl, complemented it with beads and a white chain. I've always been a sucker for shrinky dinks, there's so much you can do with it!
but that's small potatoes next to the second one I made...

Steampunk inspired piece with almost all antique metal findings (everything except the filigree, wings and wire beads). I used JB steel epoxy which is probably the best glue I've ever used on metal. Which leads me to a question...
I've never had much luck gluing plastic to metal, it always seems to pop off. JB will not adhere to plastic at all. What would be the best glue for this? E6000? Liquid Fusion?
