Recent Craft Challenges
Jan. 21st, 2010 03:32 pmLast October I ditched my newsletter and decided to start a yahoo group where I set weekly craft challenges. Anyway here are a few of the things I’ve made for the challenges:
Worry Doll Box (Guatemalan Worry Doll project):

I adore worry dolls but figured I needed a box to contain all my worries.
Skirt (Resolutions project):

This was inspired by the gorgeous skirts and dresses by Gibbous.
Cocoon (Museum object project):

I tried to wet felt this but it went a bit odd so I needle felted it quite a bit afterwards. I love that you can make hollow shapes with felt.
The Lion and the Lady (Leo and Virgo project):

The base of the lion’s body is mainly made out of an old sweater. The lady was needlefelted and I stabbed myself 3 times.
Maypole Dress (Weaving project):

This was so quick to do – I just used the mannequin as a loom.
