oooh, flower makingness

well i bought my mom a pretty silk scarf for mother's day, and i decided i wanted to wrap it all cool, so i bought a little terra cotta planter, and some little fake flowers, and glued them all over the planter, and then i was going to take the scarf and fold it into a rose or something, and put it inside the plant.
but how do i do that?
the scarf is about 85 x 85 cm (30 x 30 inches?) and very thin and filmy.
how could i make it into some sort of rose/flower thing?
