Tree Chalice Candle Holders
Mar. 7th, 2010 07:08 pmI crafted a couple of copper tree chalice candle holders. We used the one with no stones already (it holds a tea-light), and it works beautifully. Looking forward to having the beads to finish the stone tree so that I may watch the light glow through...

This was my first try...I can't remember how much copper wire I used:

I like the way this little tree turned out, but I wanted to try making one a bit larger, with stones, and with a larger base. I also wanted to make it so that the tea-light is cradled in such a way as to be invisible within the branches.
This time I did some calculations and used 64 feet of copper wire. Yes, 64 feet! It turned out exactly how I wanted it to, but I ran out of beads and had to order more. I think it looks somewhat cool now, though, and am happy that even with the uneven distribution of the stones that it is still quite sturdy:

Thanks for looking, and may you enjoy a crafty week!
