Apr. 19th, 2010 11:11 amSome experimentation with altered art jewelry. I had been asking about how on earth to do some engraving, but got lazy and figured that paper, collage, mod podge etc might work too. I had actually ordered some clear acrylic magnifying cabochons and blank lockets a long time ago (from Ebay, where the seller sadly doesn't seem to have any left), and started experimenting.

Latin for "love does not conquer." I find that inspiring, even if most other people wouldn't.
I had forgotten how much I like scrapbooking/altered art. :D On that note, since I want to do some large-ish collages for room decor, does anyone have any ideas about giving "normal" printed paper a cool decoupage-y look? I printed out some pretty graphics this morning to use when I finally have time, and I am planning to buy some new water colour paints, but I'm wondering if anyone can suggest some other cool tricks to add to collages. My images and backgrounds are already mainly vintage photos or collage sheets, so tea-staining to give them a "vintage" look would be like carrying coals to Newcastle (plus, last time I did tea staining, I seem to have overdone the tea and messed it up). Thanks, guys. :)
