In Decemmber, I posted this Santa Claus repaint. It was a wooden Santa statue/board someone had given us. It was faded and really badly painted but I didn't want to toss it out, so I put a layer of primer and repainted it to what you see in that post.
Sometime after Christmas passed, as I was about to put the decorations away, I turned the board around and saw an amazing thing coming into view. I sketched it with a pencil and put it into the garage for a future paint.
Last week, I was going through my garage storage and rediscovered Santa. And the mystery sketch. And I decided it was time to paint again.

And Marilyn was born!
I'm more than pleased with her! After all, who doesn't want a bikini-clad, hot-dog wielding fat lady on the porch to greet you as you return home after a long day? Oh, and look! She's feeling playful! Yowza! ;-)
I'm actually kind of sad Summer is basically over now because she has to go back into storage :-(
