I made some stockings from recycled thrift store sweaters and am wanting to add our family member's names to them. Here's a picture of what I've got so far

Any ideas for how I should add our names? I'm thinking either embroidery or needle felting on some yarn or roving. The sweaters aren't 100% natural fiber though, so I don't know how the needle felting would work out. It's my preferred idea right now though since I can make it bolder then with embroidery floss.

Any suggestions welcome!
