mmm Japanese fabric mmm
Jan. 14th, 2011 04:21 pmSo.. I got my order of Kokka fabric in, and I am just over the moon with it. If you've never had linen and cotton blend fabric before, it's just beautiful. I love the weight of it. I still have to wait for some zippers to come in so I can use the rest of it, but I was able to make a few things in the past few days with the stuff I have on hand.
So here's some new stuff, and a continuation of my Pay It Forward project.

earrings, but I'm considering taking the larger pair apart and turning them into bobby pins. hmm.

I was debating whether or not I wanted to buy this fabric, but I think it's good I did. I have too much pink fabric so this is a nice change. I love the retro look of it, it reminds me of something my mom would like(and that's a good thing!). In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm going to send it off to my mom just because of that.

With a little help from my dad, I made myself my own tags and some packaging for the earrings/pins so they're easier to ship. I'm really proud of how it all turned out. I already mailed all of this stuff to my friend Sara, so I don't have a picture without the tags, sorry. The website is just my blog, not my shop or anything!! I can take it down if it bothers anyone, but I really like the stuff I made so I wanted to share the only pictures I had of it.
I made her some pins, a mini wallet (Alexander Henry fabric), and a makeup pouch (Heather Ross fabric). Not gonna lie, it was a little hard for me to cut up and give away my Heather Ross fabric!

I only have one more person to package up for my Pay It Forward 2011 project! wee
