So, after discovering two quilts worth of flannel fabric in a drawer in my house, I decided to pick up quilting again.  Since mid-October, I've made 5 quilts.

Quilt #1 - Very simple, no real pattern, but super snuggly and soft.

Quilt #2 - Was using up the scraps left over from Quilt #1.

Cat-approved!

Quilt #3 - Front.  One of my best friends is having her baby today (or tomorrow), so a few weeks ago we went fabric shopping (with a third friend, whose quilt is below) so she could pick out fabric for her baby quilt (I didn't want to presume to pick for her).  She ended up not being a huge fan of the bright colored or pastel baby fabrics, so I ended up making a quilt for her instead. This is a neat pattern that quilts up strips of the front, back, and batting all at the same time (back below).

Quilt # 3 - Back (don't mind husband - it was very cold and this was one of many pictures I made him help me take).

Quilt #4 - Another version of the same quilt pattern for my father-in-law for Christmas.  His house is historic and much of his furniture has the old hunting colors and themes.

Quilt #4 - I can't get enough of the border fabric, which has little birds all around it.

Quilt #5.  I call this my Gigantic Technicolor Dream-Quilt.  Another friend went on the fabric shopping trip with my mom-to-be-friend and I.  She was just along to hang out, but after seeing how much fun we had pulling bolt after bolt of fabric off the shelves, she decided she wanted a quilt too, a queen-sized one to go on her bed.  Now, I love this friend, but I can't afford to drop $100 or so on fabric and batting, as well as spending hours upon hours quilting it.  So, we agreed that she would buy the materials and I would quilt it for her as her birthday gift.  She took a decidedly different color-route than the mom-to-be, but the colors were really fun to work with.  However, a quilt this size made me realize I need a much larger sewing table (I got really sick of pulling the quilt back onto the table whenever it would slid off).

Thanks for looking!
