Vitrium and Harrison
Apr. 1st, 2011 02:15 pmHas anyone worked with Vitrium Moldable Air-Dry Resin Clay? I made the mistake of ordering from Fire Mountain Gems and now I can't stop looking at their site and came across this...it seems interesting! I'm just wondering if it's really as neat as it sounds and your experiences :). Before I go ordering it! Does it hold up well as jewelry? Should it only be used for flat pieces? I'm assuming so...it looks neat.
I made this lil guy for a friend. It's Harrison from the comic Nedroid. He is a shark, yes.

Yea, photography...not my thing ;) Hopefully you can get the idea though.
He's Sculpy and painted with Basic acrylic paint...I'm going to let my friend decide if he needs a mouth or not, I kind of like the no mouth look personally.
I'm not sure if I should seal it in some way, I used to use Mod Podge years and years and years ago to do that, but I never really liked it and I felt it made it sticky. I don't want it to be glossy either...do you think I should seal it with something and if so - recommendations?
