craftgrrl | New Necklaces! (And I need your opinions!)

I think this is probably my favorite piece to date. I love the colors and it just reminds me of being in a garden with lots of butterflies! Although right now, I'm at a standstill: I can't decide if I should make this into a necklace or into a barrette.
I can either do a ribbon necklace like this:

Or a chain one, like this:

Or if I choose not to do a necklace, I can easily add a French barrette. But I really can't decide! Any opinions would be more than welcomed!

I think I've posted this necklace here before, but I added another part to it:

It is an assembled piece (I wish I could make something like this shell rose pendant!). I found these beautiful butterfly charms (which I used for the top pick) and thought it would go nicely with the rose pendant. I personally think it adds a nice touch to the necklace.
