Sculpting question

So I've decided to try my hand at it and been using Model Magic, which is pretty good because I'm able to smooth out a lot of mistakes with a craft knife or sandpaper when it dries. But that's the problem. This stuff literally takes forever to really dry. Since I'm quite new at this I thought I'd ask for suggestions on different brands and techniques (if anyone's had more experience with Model Magic). Thanks in advance, craft girls and guys.
