What to do with a broken heart...
Jul. 12th, 2011 01:46 amTragic title aside, that's exactly what I'm asking.
All my life there's been this small heart-shaped mirror hanging on my bathroom at my mom's. Then, the other day, the leather cord that held it broke, the mirror fell and now it has a perfect vertical crack almost in the middle.
I now have a broken heart-shaped mirror on my hands. The symbolism is too good to pass. Almost a ready-made, really!
The piece is about 15 inches across, with a 2 inches thick pine frame. the frame has 3 wooden hook-thingies and the broken cord that I'll remove. Since the mirror broke perfectly in 2 and is glued to the back, there's no danger with shards.
So what to do with it? Keep in mind that it can easily turn cheesy or emo and I don't want that. ;P
