(no subject)

So, this is what my 5 year old wants to be for Halloween - which was fine - I had time to plan on how to make it. Now he wants to wear it to the Dragon*Con parade - in 3 days. I would love to make it happen, but I am stuck.

My current idea is is to make a chest peice that tapers our of cardboard and cover it in a black T-shirt, tightening it up in the back where the cape would cover it.
For the head, I am thinking a pail, spray painted with the eyes cut out. 
I will be skipping the hands, as he's 5 and kinda needs them.
For the legs, I am thinking about skiling those all together and he can just wear black pants, unless someone has an idea on how I can easily make them. 

Anyone have any other suggestions or a quick way to make it better without hunting down hard to find items, or costing much? TIA!
