Oct. 14th, 2011 08:50 pm I am currently trying to plug the gap for my theatre group after our costume lady left with family issues. We are looking for someone to help out (I am working, doing a Masters and the theatre admin so cant keep this up as well) but I am rather proud of myself this evening:
DONT LOOK AT ME being all tired and hot and sweaty, look at the dress. heh. I am quite proud considering I have never made a costume like this before, and the underskirt is a bedsheet and a net curtain, the over-dress is a peach brocade effect curtain, and the top underneath is made of the curtains lining, and the gold detailing is some capitalistmas bead decoration from poundland. Its made so that its a free-size dress, fits me at size 14, up to about size 22 if I let out some tucks.
(yes we always use material that we have got from Freecycle or similar, or from charity shops)

and I am especially pleased with detail on the sleeves
