It's been a while since I posted here, so here are the bits and pieces I've accumulated since the Summer.

A brainmonster hat for a friend! It's based on this, but I didn't use this pattern as I wanted to use bulkier yarn and didn't want to mess around too much with gauge.

This is TV Guy from Knitting Mochimochi by Anna Hrachovec - full of cute patterns, but not terribly practical.

Manly mitts (it won't link so: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/manly-mitts-2) for a swap with a friend. Debbie Bliss DK is the loveliest thing ever for gloves.

Slytherin scarf a friend commissioned for the Harry Potter Premiere. I finished it the night before it was due, and had to run off for work in the morning, so this is the best photo I managed in the light of my room. (I don't usually look so haughty in real life, promise.)

Snuggly Winter hat! The pattern is Tori - I made myself a lighter one at the start of the Summer, but wanted one that would actually keep me warm. (I may frog the other one and make it into something else.) I couldn't find nice bulky yarn, so I unwound a ball of worsted-weight and rewound it held double. If you have the patience for it, it's worth doing as a way of turning blocky colours into something a bit more blended, I'm really happy with how it turned out. (A before and after, because I can't find the photos on my computer!)

A Doctor Who scarf, because I am that kind of geek. I didn't get the colours quite right, as I was going from memory when I bought the yarn, but I'm not exactly beaten up over it, I just think it's a nice scarf. Ridiculously long though - doubled over, it reaches from the floor to the ceiling of my room. I'm 5'6". The ends and middle may get very muddy.

I made a lacy mohair wrap for my aunt's sixtieth birthday, and she asked for a hat to go with it. (I dropped in to her with it yesterday, and she said she'd forgotten and I could have used it as a Christmas present. Oops.) Pattern is Wavy Feathers Qiviut Cap - I don't think the photos that go with the pattern do it justice, I like it more in real life than I did on the page - and I used Rowan Kidsilk Haze.
Comments are appreciated as ever, and I'm also Forkis on Ravelry and post here rather more often than I do on LJ - friends or followers on either would be lovely :)
