Cut out with a razor knife from a piece of veg tan leather

After some measuring, stamping, and hole punching

After antiquing, and several layers of finishing top coat are applied

The edges are then burnished and finished, then hardware and decorative studs are put in

Then the inner bellows/ inset is first glued on, then holes are punched for the edge lacing.
Four hours after that we have the finished product:

Total make time: 8 hours.
