My giftee may have had some problems, which prevented her from posting pics of the gift, so I decided to fish out the couple of cellpics I took from it and post them here.
Among my giftee's likes where her black lab Cinder, who is like a baby to her, and sparkly things.
So I came up with the idea of upcycling a scrapbook/photo-album for everything Cinder-related.
I got a nice-sized photo-album from a giftshop, the type that has self-glueing pages with a film over them to protect the photos, and a sparkly jersey tanktop from a... rather skanky store. >___>
I covered the album with the jersey, cut out letter from hotpink paper, the same of some of the reflections on the jersey, and used them to write CINDER on the cover. I then sealed the letters with mod-podge to protect them and give them a nice shine.

The shape of the jersey didn't allow complete coverage in the back, so I used a stripe of the same pink paper to hide the seam, also with mod-podge.

Inside I used blue paper, as the other reflections, to cover the edges of the jersey. On the front I drew a cartoon version of a black lab, saying "Hi, my name is Cinder and this is my scrapbook."

I hope she liked it. :)
