Spray paint question

craftgrrlOkay, so I have a costume I want to wear and it has this as a headpiece:
I SUCK at molding and making things from scratch. However, I do have a tiara I got from Forever 21, and I was wondering if I could just make a faux tiara by spray painting it gold and then attaching some red and green crystals.
Are there different kinds of spray paint, or will any kind do?
