Sculptures with what you find.
Jul. 16th, 2012 09:51 amI find it amazing how someone can create a sculpture or model with a certain type of medium (ie. gardening hose, branches, etc.)
I remember in middle school, one of the assignments was to create an african mask from a certain region.
I remember carving a mask out of wood and boy my fingers were chaffed.
So now when I go to museums or studios and I see things like, a dragon made from CD shards, I have profound respect for them and
their craft.
I really want to try working with something that people haven't really associated with sculpting material.
What do y'all think?
