fathers day
Jun. 9th, 2003 07:18 pmso i thought i'd just share this fathers day idea - it will also work for just about any present for your parents (aka it's sappy)
i found pictures of my siblings and i, going through the years - school pics, group pics, anything that you can tell about when it was. then i made a timeline, ending with us as we are now, and in between the rows of pics, wrote dad a little something about how he molded us from the children we were, to who we are today. sorry i don't have pics, but, maybe this will make sense

dad, you have been there through it all

and i just wanted to thank you for

helping me become the person i am today

happy fathers day 2003.
i went the cheap way, and just scanned all the pics, set it out on adobe page maker, made it look nice and bought a decent frame. if you wanted to be spendy, you could make copies of the pics, get a mat cut, buy a nice frame (or shadow box - add little trinkits between the photos) and get nice mini plaques engraved with your message attatched to the mat...
you could modify it to his life for his bday, to your parents marrige for an anniversary, etc.
hope this helps. :)
