Selling stuff.
Jun. 18th, 2003 07:19 pmBlerh- I should probably exscuse any language mistakes I make. My brain seems to be on vacation.
So, recently I've been thinking about selling some of the stuff I make.
What I usually make would be small voodoo dolls, purses and skirts- I don't want to sell skirts, because clothing is generally easier to make for oneself.
I also think that, though they're fun to make, voodoo dolls would not sell very well. I'd primarely be interested in selling purses, wich takes about 2 hours to sew.
I was just wondering if you think that there is a point of opening a webstore of sorts to sell this? I saw that some girl had already opened up a pursestore. If this comes off as plagiarizing, I'm sorry- that's not at all my opinion. I've been thinking of it for a while, and her post made me become more turned on about the idea again.
What is a good way to do this? As in, how do I "spread the word"? Also, what do you think would be an acceptable price for a purse. Two hours of work. I'd like to make some profit from it, but I'm not too sure what's "too much" to ask for. Store price for normal purses where I live would be 20-30 dollars.
And I'm not able to sign up for a paypal membership (because I don't live in the states), what are other ways of paying? I live in Norway, if that matters.
