(no subject)

i am hoping someone can help me with my sewing machine.
i turned it on the other day, and it won't sew anything at the proper speed. it like i have it on slow motion or something, it kind of sticks near the top then go a little faster ang sticks again. its a old singer machine, and i am assuming it just needs some sort of ... oiling? or something, but i am not sure. has anyone had this happen to them, and what did you do?! thankyou!
